Sabrina ventured into the private education space in 2011, setting up The Rote Less Travelled, providing academic tutoring and advisory services to students in Singapore from Secondary to Pre-university levels. Aside from this age group, she also enjoys working with high-ability children and has worked with gifted education providers in developing curriculum and improving online engagement for young children from 4-12 years of age. In 2017, she started Brainy Lab in Jakarta, with the aim of straddling the educational divide between Indonesia and her closest neighbors, making accessible Singapore-style academic tutoring services and entrance prep courses for Indonesian students targeting studies abroad and international students studying in Indonesia. During Covid, when most international travel was suspended, she launched Brainy Smarts, an online EdTech initiative, to connect exceptional teachers from around the world, well-equipped with technological tools for online student engagement and teaching, to students from different countries.
To date, Sabrina is still very passionate about using her experiences in strategic planning, organizational change management and implementation, people management and entrepreneurship to empower individuals and implement necessary and pivotal changes in the educational landscape, for the betterment of society, both locally and abroad. She believes that education is the biggest stepping stone to societal change.
Sabrina holds a B.Eng (Mechanical and Aerospace) from Nanyang Technological University Singapore and a Certificate in Media and Technology for Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
