OUR MISSION

Every child deserves the opportunity to become a confident, capable changemaker.

Our mission is to help bridge inequality in access to quality early childhood education and empower children with the foundations they need to learn, grow and shape their future.

Through education, innovation and collaboration, we work to create meaningful impact for children, educators and communities around the world.

OUR VISION

A world where every child has access to quality early education and the opportunity to become a changemaker.

We envision a future where research-informed, child-centred education empowers children to thrive, educators have the tools and support to teach effectively, and schools and communities have a roadmap for creating lasting change.

The Trehaus Ecosystem

Everything we do grows from a shared educational foundation: the Canopy Approach, Canopy Curriculum and Trehaus Method. We bring this foundation to life through Trehaus Schools and Little Lab EdTech Platform, with practical tools and programmes that help us reach children, educators, schools and education systems around the world.

Together, these interconnected parts form the Trehaus Ecosystem, allowing us to raise changemakers, empower educators and create lasting impact at scale.

Our Team

Dr. Elaine Kim

Co-Founder and CEO

Elaine Kim is a mission-driven entrepreneur and medical doctor who began her career in palliative care, supporting people in life’s final chapter. She now brings that same purpose of driving positive impact in the lives of others to the beginning of the life journey, through Trehaus and Little Lab.

Passionate about using innovation for good, she bridges the worlds of education, entrepreneurship, and technology to create impact where it matters most. Elaine is also a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader (WEF YGL), actively involved in the Young President’s Organisation (YPO), a member of the International Women’s Forum (IWF) and co-founder of a nonprofit supporting female founders (CRIB).

A mother of 4, Trehaus was born partly out of her desire to create the best education and upbringing for her own children. She has been building the Trehaus ecosystem from her home bases of the United States, Singapore, and wherever the opportunities for Trehaus and Little Lab bring her on the company’s global expansion path.
